Editor's review
This software is a free editor add-in that helps editing, creating, and viewing EXIF, IPTC and XMP data.
Batch Exif Plug-in can be added to the free EXIF Pilot editor. With that you could get some added features like the following. EXIF and IPTC data can be imported and exported from multiple separate files. The same can be done from a single file as well. Image formats supported include JPEG, TIFF, PNG, DNG, NEF, PEF, CRW, JP2, PSD, etc. You are able to read, create and edit in any of these formats of images and their EXIF data. The program also offers a command line interface that lets you edit, create EXIF and IPTC data from the command line. This obviously is for experienced users who are absolutely certain of what effects each of the parameter you set in the command.
The software is able to handle RAW formats, including CR2, MRW, ARW, SR2, ORF and RAF read only. The EXIF pilot itself is quite easy to use. You have the directory structure on the left of the interface, and you have all the details related to each of the photographs from the directory selected. All the important stats like aperture time, focal length, aperture, flash used or not and so on are displayed. The add-in adds a pop up interface. The settings of the add-in are organized in three tabbed areas “EXIF General”, “EXIF GPS” and “IPTC general”. Edit properties can be done easily as the data is well organized, and you could modify them very quickly.
